St Paul’s towers

St Paul’s towers

Yesterday’s entry focussed on the iconic, much photographed dome of St Paul’s. Well, today’s images switch attention to the other end of the cathedral – the twin towers. While they may lack the dramatic grandeur of the dome, I think the towers are beautifully elegant.

I also like the backdrop from this angle – a modern building as contrast and the activity of the cranes. A combination – maybe even a visual parable – of the sacred and the secular.

The subtle difference between the images is that I’ve added a blue filter to one and a yellow filter to another.
