Over the next two weeks, I’ll be posting mainly photos of flowers. Partly because we’re coming up to the Chelsea Flower Show and it seemed fitting, but mainly because I’m catching up with processing images taken some time ago.

The images I’m using for this series were all taken at the magnificent Alnwick Garden last September. Any gardener will tell you that a garden is made up of more than just plants. It needs structure and focal points – amongst other things. So I ‘m going to start with these amazing stone urns.
I desaturated the image to emphasise the urns, but kept the blue of the agapanthus for a bit of context. Do you think it works?
(Other, similar images can be found on my Flickr site – if you’re interested.)
