Echinacea (macro)

Echinacea (macro)

There’s something surreal about close-up images.

(Click on image for larger version.)

I’m fascinated by the tiny details that are revealed – like the yellow pollen on the stamens (if that’s the correct term), and the web between two spikes.

I use extension tunes to get this close. They’re relatively inexpensive, but quite effective.

(Other, similar images can be found on my Flickr site – if you’re interested.)
