Thames scene

This photo was taken during a leisurely post-curry evening walk. I liked the way that the setting sun was creating a glimmering effect on the river.

I think the composition might have been better if I’d moved a bit to the right. But I like it anyway.

Long shadows

Long shadows

I loved the way that the low sun was creating very long shadows as people strolled along the Southbank on a Saturday evening. We were walking from Tower Bridge towards London Bridge – into the sunlight, leaving the shadows behind us. Somehow, that seems to be an appropriate metaphor given recent events.

Because of the low sun, I was using a neutral density filter. I haven’t done much in processing – just added a wee bit of fill light.
