Crinkly edges #1

Crinkly edges #1

‘Did you ever go to a place… I think it was called Norway?

‘No,’ said Arthur, ‘no, I didn’t.’

“Pity,’ said Slartibartfast, ‘that was one of mine. Won an award. Lovely crinkly edges…’

Bee-ware

Bee-ware

I enjoy our echinops almost as much as the bees (see yesterday’s image). But… the older, paler flowerhead will soon be setting their jaggy seeds. These will spread quite widely, and germinate quite freely.

So, it might be prudent to gather some seeds, deadhead the rest, and choose where we want them to grow.

The long-range weather forecast

The long-range weather forecast

Cobbled together #1

Cobbled together #1

After our most recent meeting of Coffee and Cameras, I decided to copy a friend’s challenge – going out with only one prime lens. On this occasion I opted for my 25 mm lens (50mm equivalent). But, it didn’t stop me looking at details!

I also adopted (stole) an idea from another friend – looking at patterns in cobbles.

The best camera…

The best camera…

… is the one you have with you. in this case, it was the best lens that I had available. Next time I’ll take my telephoto zoom for shots like this. (And, there will definitely be a ‘next time’.)
